Well, this was fun to discover in Search Console this morning. The blog I run is outperforming the rest of this e-commerce domain at the top-page level in Google’s Generative AI results.
Google has just rolled out a separate Generative AI performance report in Search Console:
– it shows how often pages from your site appear in AI Overviews and AI Mode
– it lets you see which URLs are getting those impressions, plus other performance data
9 of the top 10 pages on this domain are my blog posts.
People want AI SEO tricks. Cool, I’ll give you a few:
These aren’t fluffy traffic posts. Most of them are articles built around a buyer standing there with their credit card thinking:
“Okay. Which one do I actually buy?”
Use cases.
Clear comparisons.
Real buyer questions.
Specific recommendations.
Prices. (Google LOVES them)
Links that move people closer to the product.
I can see the pattern:
The content dominating this domain’s AI search visibility is the same content I’ve been building to make buying decisions easier.
So for now, my rule for AI search is simple:
Make the page painfully easy to extract answers from.
