I grew up between Ljubljana and a village on the Croatian coast. As a child, I played the violin competitively and read voraciously. Those who didn’t think I’d become a professional musician thought I’d become a novelist. I ended up doing so many other things that defining my job title is a never-ending challenge.

In my teenage years I became fascinated with fashion and film. After graduating from high school, I moved to New York to attend a filmmaking course at NYFA. Then back home it was, looking for a socially acceptable excuse to spend the next few years in my room reading books. Lo and behold, I enrolled at the University of Ljubljana to study Comparative Literature.

During my BA studies I started a fashion blog called Dressful. It took off, and contrary to my hermit tendencies, I began attending New York, Milan and Paris fashion weeks to cover the shows for my blog and other publications. While immaculately coiffured and outfitted bloggers posed for street style photographers, I lugged around 15 kilograms of camera equipment to take decent catwalk pictures.

Guided by the naive belief that fashion journalism pays anything at all, and yearning to experience a more enlightened place than my hometown, I moved to London to do an MA in Fashion Journalism at London College of Fashion. On this course I created several fashion magazines and a book, collaborating with classmates and independently.

Following graduation, I work as digital media manager at enaA.com, Slovenia’s largest online retailer.
